Firehouse — Andy Goldsworthy Exhibition Design
EXHIBITION DESIGN • ENVIRONMENTAL GRAPHICS • SPATIAL NARRATIVE • GRAPHIC SYSTEMS • VISUAL IDENTITY
The Firehouse exhibition by Andy Goldsworthy at Haynes Gallery explored destruction, rebirth, and transformation through works created from the remains of his destroyed Spire sculpture. Shown in San Francisco, where Goldsworthy’s work holds deep cultural weight, the exhibition called for a visual language that could match its emotional intensity.
I designed exhibition graphics, promotional materials, a catalogue of the artwork, and an exhibit website as a cohesive system drawing from the dark, charred textures of the work itself. Bold typography and tactile visuals shaped an experience that extended beyond the gallery walls, reinforcing the narrative from first encounter through deeper engagement.
